i just got back from a day of purely food and fun.
alcohol free, stress free!

and i thought, before i forget the names of these wonderful food, i'd better post them as soon as i can and as soon as i have the mood, which is now!

met up with 2 wonderful foodies (like me) for dinner at PASTA WARAKU, at The Central, one of the latest shopping malls in town.

Don't you think the decor of the place is very nice?
i think it's very special!

This is PASTA HEAVEN indeed!!!
Decorated with a thousand and one pasta food models and these food models are all found in the menu, which means you get to taste the real thing in the restaurant!

The menu says, "Japanese Style Healthy Pasta"
and there are so many varieties to choose from, plus, they all look extremely yummy!

i just can't get enough of these food models.
i wished plastic could be eaten.

Started our dinner with mini salad.
what makes this salad so appetizing is the Japanese Dressing it's mixed with.

We ordered the set which comes with this white wine, soup and the mini salad above.
This white wine is a little sweet, i like it very much cuz i have a sweet tooth.

Very creamy corn soup, but very tasty indeed.
Bing and Cre both dislike corn soup but they have nothing but compliments for this.

Hokkaido Cream Crab Pasta in wafu cream sauce. ($18.80) comes with mini salad.
Wafu cream sauce is nice, the only thing is that the texture of the pasta is a little too sticky and also, the crab meat is rather stiff.

Gratin set. ($19.80)
The eggplant gratin is absolutely WONDERFUL!!
the taste of the cheese makes me deliriously happy.
it comes with Wafu Cod Roe Pasta beside it.

Demi-Glace Hamburg Steak. ($12.80)
It has a piece of melted cheese on top of it, although the cheese didn't come oozing out of the steak, it certainly tastes like the one that i had in Japan.
Meat is very tender and soft, it seems to be melting in my mouth.
It comes with some wedges and carrots and corns, the carrots are way too sweet!
Highly recommended!!!
It only costs $12.80.

This King BBQ Lobster is a side dish. ($16.80)
Topped with cheese and tastes just fantastic and it's a must try!

and lastly, the STAR DISH!
all of us agreed unanimously that this is the BEST dish we've tried so far.
it's the Scallop and Salmon Roe Gratin. ($12.80)
The sauce is really unique and has a light seafood, cream sauce taste that isn't too heavy.
The colour itself is already one of my favourite!

We left Pasta Waraku feeling very happy and full.

Next stop, we went to the MIND Cafe.

we took the 2 hour package which comes with 2 sides, 1 munchies and 1 drink per pax.
That costs $9.80 per pax.

There were so many games and we were clueless on how to play most of them.

This game is, "Halli Galli"
Jenga!

Look at how unstable it is, in fact, it's wobbly.
finally, it came crumbling down under Mich's hands.

and lucky us had a lucky throw in which we won a free 2 hour gaming session here for 2 person!

Goonight!
Happy day, happy girl =)

i am soooooooo lemming for this bag:

They say it's the most coveted bag of the year, the bag which caused riots in Hongkong.

and the saddest thing is that Singapore has decided not to bring it in i think for safety reasons?

and ebay/yahoo are selling it at ridiculous prices, mite as well just get a Gucci with that price.

luckily, there's a great deal here that sells this bag for only $46, deal is at SpreeHouse, livejournal.

Here are some reviews of food, very yummy food really worth trying.
AJITEI, Takashimaya Branch

I can't remember the name of this dish but there's noodles inside the yummy egg.
The other dish is chicken soft bones.

The reason why i ate here was because of this dish.
shit, i forgot the name again but i kept eating this while i was in Japan.

Delicious brinjal.
My favourite vegetable.

This dish is a must-try.
It's cheese potatoes!!

We left Ajitei feeling full and very happy :)

SHIROI KOIBITO (WHITE LOVERS CHOCOLATE)

They arrived some time ago from Hokkaido.
I ordered the 24 pieces mix of white and black chocolate.

The white chocolate is white chocolate and the black one is actually milk chocolate.

Beautifully wrapped and packaged.
Even the paper bag that comes with it is so nice.

The inside of it looks like this.

I prefer the black (Milk chocolate) ones.
The white ones are nice too but a little too sweet for me.
and Shiroi Koibito is seriously nice, the outside has a slight crunch but when its in the mouth, it melts.

I want more!!!

GENTING TRIP- Sammi Cheng Live in Concert, June 2007.

Thanks to dear LEADER WONG, the trip was so successful!!

I had so much fun with you guys, i wanna go trip with you all again.

Leader Wong hired a private mini bus which accomodated the 10 of us.
It was like a food trip.

Our first top was JB for breakfast:

Curry Yong Tau Foo

Wanton Mee

Kuay Teow Soup

Bak Kut Teh

Breakfast was rather disappointing.

In the private bus.

We were dead beat as we played mahjong the whole of the night before and didn't catch a wink.

Leader Wong!!!

After around 6 hours, we finally reached!!

'Who has the biggest lungs' contest.

Excursion to Mushroom Farm-- in the mini bus that ferried us there.

We reached Mushroom Farm!
The air was really foggy.

We actually went Mushroom Farm to have our dinner as my friend said it's the best place to have good and cheap food.

The food was pretty good, we had stamed fish, veggie, chicken, noodles, prawns, soup.

and they didn't cost very much too.

10 little chinese kids.

The purpose of our trip!!!

Sammi was wearing a wig.

Good vocals and superb, very energetic dance moves that left the audience in awe.

Gorgeous as usual.

Guest of honour: Cheung King Hin (Zhang Jing Xuan)

This is the 4th time i've attended Sammi Cheng's live concert and this is her best concert by far.
She is really tremendously energetic, the whole place felt like a disco.

Sammi's pictures credited to Fiona.

This is the view from our hotel room. (credits to Joanne)
The view of the theme park which i didn't have time and mood to go when i was there.
But when i return to Genting, i wanna visit this theme park!

After Genting, we did stop by KL to eat really wonderful Kuay Teow Soup and JB for heavenly curry fish head.
Pics not with me cuz my camera died on me!
It died at the wrong time, just before the Sammi concert.
Luckily my friends snapped like crazy.

Waiting for my next trip, in August!!______________________________________________________________________________

Pics of the very occassional drinking and singing sessions:

i'm cursed at 5-10.

we're alwayz playing the same old games.

Why must Jac's head be higher than all of us?

Drunk?

Zuanqi's right, the pics are filled with nothing else but faces!

Damn Loser Ong!

Another night at Kbox.

After KTV, we went prawning with the 2 sisters.
and after which, we went BOWLING!
i didn't bowl though, i watched them bowl.

what a hectic night!
