Thermage Skin Tightening at Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics

My visit to Tiffiny Yang's clinic brought about a lovely surprise! They have expanded and revamped. Place is so much bigger, more posh and painted in hues of their signature Tiffiny turquoise colour. The nurses are donned in girly, sweet uniforms too! What a lovely sight!

Approximately one month ago, I visited Tiffiny Yang's clinic for my thermage skin tightening, face slimming treatment! I was absolutely excited before and during the treatment because Thermage uses medical grade radiofrequency skin tightening, resulting in a slimmer, more defined jawline and it actually complements botox. Read on for more details and pictures.

What is Thermage?
Thermage is a safe, non-invasive procedure that is clinically proven to help smooth, tighten and contour skin for an overall younger looking appearance. The treatment delivers natural looking results with little to no downtime – on all skin colours, on and off the face, all in a single procedure. Since there is no surgery involved you can generally return to normal activities immediately following the procedure. It has been approved by the FDA since 2002 and available only in the doctor’s office. The latest Thermage procedure offers Comfort Pulse Technology, significantly improving treatment comfort. It works on all skin types.

[Food Review] First 25 Cafe

A new cafe opens in the neighbourhood of Tanjong Pagar. Along Hoe Chiang Road is a cafe serving Asian-Western dishes with a twist!

I was very attracted to the interior decor of the cafe which is very posh and immediately teleported me to some part of Europe where tiles are bricked in white and large, majestic gold mirrors hung on the walls.

[Food Review] Old Boys Gallery

Amidst the rows of pubs at Kampong Bahru is Old Boys Gallery, previously an art gallery now with an additional element of bistro opened by three friends who wanted a place for people to chill out and enjoy over delectable food and wide variety of craft beers.

A special place where food meets art, paintings of vibrant colours by local artists filled the walls.

[Food Review] Xin Hao Ramen

Xin Hao Ramen opened its doors at Bugis Cube recently and it serves ramen with a local twist. Expect a decent bowl of hot, piping ramen without the normal Japanese bamboo shoots and chashu.

Ordering method is rather unique (in fact, I think I've used this ordering method in Japan before). Firstly, choose the type of ramen you want to have (salted, miso, shoyu, spicy) and bring the respective tag to the counter to order. Add ons of grilled meat, hanjuku egg, noodles and fried enoki are also available.

In Celebration of Singapore’s 50th Birthday #SG50, Toast Box launches its new product offering Asian Delight Ready-to-Cook Pastes featuring Curry Chicken, Laksa, Mee Siam and Mee Rebus.

These pastes come in so handy for a fuss free, quick meal! Step by step instructions can be found at the back of the packets, making it very user friendly and suitable even for beginner cooks! And the good thing I really like about this pack is that one box consists of 4 different kinds of paste and this enables me to whip up a variety of meals!

The Ready-to-Cook pastes are retailing for S$6.50 per pack except Mee Rebus which is priced at S$6.80.

1 Point V-Face and CHEEK FILLERS!

It has been approximately 10 months since I last did my first chin fillers and botox to achieve a V-shaped, smaller and sharper face. For more information, please click here to read my full and informative review: One point chin filllers and botox (1) and One point chin fillers and botox (2)

A few weeks ago, I visited Dr. Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics & Surgery to have my chin fillers and botox topped up. This clinic gave me such a warm and fuzzy feeling as the nurses were so friendly and caring and of course, Dr Tiffiny was so affectionate and gentle as well as knowledgable it feels so comfortable to be here and I feel so safe because I can totally trust Dr. Tiffiny (which is a very important factor when choosing doctors)

\

The same procedures follow, application of numbing cream for apprxoinately 20 minutes before the injections begin. Once again, the injections were  very bearable, just like ant bites and they were over in a few minutes! Super fast process!

Immediate effect after chin fillers, my chin is back again! From the side, you can tell that it is sharper and slightly more protruding giving my face a nice contour.

Lush Aesthetics- Thermal Lift Skin Tightening

Few weeks ago, I was invited to try out some of the signature treatments from Lush Aesthetics. I chose their Thermal Life for face as I wanted a more V-shape face because my botox was wearing out, I could feel it as my face looks chubbier recently. And so, this treatment came in at the perfect time!

[Food Review] Yum Cha Express- PROMO CODE INSIDE!!!

I always have weekly house parties where we would hang around with friends and order deliveries back home. These deliveries are quite limited, most of the time it's MacDonald's or Pizzahut, perhaps Dominos at times and it gets quite boring having fast food week after week.

Now, I'm so glad to share that Yum Cha delivers their piping hot DIM SUM right to your doorsteps!!!

[Food Review] Le Halo

Quietly tucked away along Bukit Ho Swee lies a new, small and cozy cafe, Le Halo which also operates as a vintage retail shop.

What impresses me is the interior which is colourful and whimsically decorated with vintage pieces and old school games. Every corner seems to be filled with something that surprises me. When I first stepped in, all I wanted to do was take pictures and there is always something different for me to capture in my pictures every turn I take although it's quite compact in space.

Was amazed by how they overturned the chairs and hung them in mid air to decorate the place and also the usage of vintage sewing machines as tables.

[Recipe] Steamed Beehoon with Fish

Went JB last week and stumbled upon this small coffeeshop that sells steamed beehoon with fish and other kinds of meat.

As we were in a rush for time and I was also craving for steamed fish, this was the perfect thing to have.

It tasted really simple but awesome! Fish was so fresh and broth was light, yet very addictive with lots of condiments added to it. It got me thinking and dreaming of it for the next few days and hence, I decided to try making this dish myself.

[Food Review] Violet Herbs

Violet Herbs is a new Modern European Restaurant with some Asian touches located in the CBD area at Tanjong Pagar. It takes its name from 2 violet herbs: Lavender and Purple Basil which are supposedly very rare.

The restaurant was prettily painted in lovely shades of purple, houses 2 storeys with 70 seats which makes it a very suitable venue for company functions and birthday parties.

Chef Edward Hoe, previously from Restaurant Ember, with 19 years of experience, ventures out on his own, serving affordable set menus of modern European cuisine, starting from 3-course set lunch at $29.50++, 4-course set dinner at $42++, and degustation at $98++.

We were honoured to be able to try different items from their set menu and were very impressed with their service and the quality as well as taste of their food.

Love the interior! Purple is the colour of royalty and there is a touch of elegance in this restaurant.

Be assured of mouth-watering, fork tender, succulent ribs here! I dare to say these are the BEST RIBS IN SINGAPORE!!!

With its spacious, open concept layout, this casual eatery is a good place in the East to indulge in meats with an Asian touch.

[Food Review] Fart Tartz Cafe

Fart Tartz Cafe has a very cute and unforgettable name, in Cantonese, it actually means 'Prosperity'. Located at the Singapore expo, Fart Tartz is a little concept cafe (not enclosed) whimsically decorated with mini flower pots and grass patches to create a laid back, cozy ambience.

This is a cafe specializing in no bake tarts and cakes served in jars. Even their savouries such as salads and pastas are bottled rather than plated! It sure makes for great photos on Instagram.

[Car Review] 2015 TOYOTA RAV4!

Last Christmas, which was only last month, I got the special opportunity to test drive the ALL NEW TOYOTA RAV4, it certainly came just in time for my last minute Christmas shopping and errands.

March 2013, Toyota's fourth generation RAV4 will officially be introduced in Singapore. The all-new RAV4, a reinvention of the world's original crossover sports utility vehicle, now comes with a new 2-litre petrol engine; offers attractive fuel efficiency, class-leading cargo capacity, cut-through design, and a compelling array of user friendly features. The all-new RAV4 comes in 2 variants – Elegance and Premium.

Key Attributes of the All-New RAV4

In summary customers can expact from the exciting all-new Toyota RAV4:
  1. Distinct Design
  2. Avant-Garde Interior
  3. Class Leading Features and Technology
  4. Best in Class Protection
RAV4 is now more clearly differentiated from Toyota's larger Highlander crossover. It's a balanced small crossover, offering more room than some with a little bit of driving enjoyment to go with it, but not providing either in extremes. This sexy shade of red oozes elegance and class and it's distinct design clearly makes it stand out from the crowd.

[Recipe] Drunken Steamed Chicken

This is a very very simple recipe and requires very little time. About less than 30 mins and it's done!

I used mid joints as I had a packet of these sitting in the freezer for quite a few days already :P And I remember seeing someone post a recipe on this easy recipe and decided to try it for myself :)

[Food Review] I'm Kim Korean BBQ

Another Korean BBQ outlet has been established! Conveniently located just a 5-minute walk away from Dhoby Ghaut station in School of the Arts (SOTA), I'm KIM provides students in the Orchard / Bras Basah area with a great place for no-frills Korean BBQ.

A friendly mascot who looks like a Kpop celebrity holding a cleaver greeted us at the doorstep.

I'm Kim Korean BBQ is pretty hard to miss as it's facing the road and with those vibrant light bulbs which makes up the signage, it would most likely attract your attention and cast an impression in your minds.

Walking a few steps closer, you will be able to see their price list. Prices are affordable and lunch starts from as low as $14++ for adults. Their dinner spread has more variety and therefore costs slightly more at $22++ on weekdays, which is still inexpensive!
